storyboard designed an exclusive customer magazine for KPM Berlin: WEISS. It has been published once a year since 2017 and features a mix of high-quality photo productions and interviews. The craftsmanship of the manufactory is reflected not only in the content, but also in the haptic design of the magazine. For example, the cover is elaborately finished with embossing.

Contents of the magazine

With each issue, the customer magazine takes its readers on a journey through the fascinating world of the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin, where centuries-old craftsmanship meets modern creativity. Each issue features interviews with employees and long-standing customers. Implementation

For WEISS No. 8, Berlin-based AI illustrator Norman Konrad presented historical treasures from the archives of the KPM Berlin Foundation in a completely new light. With the help of the AI image generator Midjourney, four works of art were created that show KPM's centuries-old porcelain art in futuristic interiors. Through the creative use of AI, traditional craftsmanship and visionary aesthetics merge into an inspiring dialogue.

Implementation

At the heart of every issue of WEISS magazine are high-quality still lifes in which KPM porcelain is showcased in a special way. To emphasize the manufactory's connection to the capital, the photo shoots are carried out by well-known Berlin photographers.

Many of the productions take place at the manufactory, giving readers exclusive insights. In addition, storyboard implements elaborate food productions that showcase the fine porcelain in trendy gastronomic spots, for example.
