Ludwig Beck Magazine was the customer magazine of the traditional Munich department store of the same name and was produced until 2024. It served as a source of inspiration, provided information about current fashion, beauty, and lifestyle trends, and invited readers to discover the department store and the most beautiful pieces of the season.

Implementation
In 2014, storyboard took on the relaunch of the Ludwig Beck customer magazine with the aim of showcasing the entire world of the Munich department store – from fashion and beauty to music.
The magazine focused on providing in-depth tips and authentic interviews with experts and employees who shared their passion for fashion and beauty, conveying the long-standing expertise of this traditional company.
Ludwig Beck Magazine presented a seasonal mix of topics covering fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and music. The categories “Inspiration,” “Style,” and “Pleasure” featured current stories, trends, and products that reflected the broad spectrum of this traditional department store. This editorial core was flanked by news and services from the department store. This gave readers not only fashion inspiration, but also practical guidance for their next discoveries at Ludwig Beck.

To create additional touchpoints with the target group, storyboard designed and produced social media extensions for selected content from Ludwig Beck magazine. In addition to interactive content for the Instagram feed and stories, behind-the-scenes videos provided exclusive insights into the world of the department store and magazine production.

Renowned Munich photographers staged the department store's products aesthetically for Ludwig Beck Magazine – without neglecting a touch of humor. The photo shoots also included behind-the-scenes videos, which were published on Ludwig Beck's social media channels to promote the magazine.
