What is One Design Magazine?
One Design Magazine is Motel One's customer magazine and focuses on the hotel group's unique interior design and style. It gives readers an insight into the special features of each hotel and its location.

Implementation
To ensure a holistic brand presence, storyboard also produces content for the Motel One website. The spectrum ranges from detailed SEO guides and informative listicles to entertaining travel tips, which are presented in a visually appealing way with appropriate graphic additions. The content is strategically deployed as part of thematic campaigns such as “Keen to travel green”, thus creating a coherent link between print and online presence.

As an extension of the content of One Design 13 magazine, an exclusive behind-the-scenes feature was created with Linz-based illustrator Katja Seifert, alias katuuschka. The material produced by storyboard was used to create videos for the Motel One website as well as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.

Implementation
In 2020, storyboard took on the redesign and content development of the bilingual One Design Magazine, which is aimed at design enthusiasts and guests of the hotel chain. The content focuses on the unique interior design and individual design approaches of each hotel.
Each issue focuses on three design stories that highlight the unique interior design concept of the Motel One hotels featured. Interviews with designers, reports on design ideas, and insights into collaborations with well-known design brands convey the story behind the creation of the distinctive hotel interiors.
Special attention is given to local artwork and hand-picked design objects that were developed specifically for each location. A mix of personal recommendations from employees, sightseeing tips, and inspiring columns makes you want to discover the Motel One hotels and their surroundings.
